as for the transportation, taipei offers a very efficient transportation system. The MRT is cheap but not the taxi though. once u entered the taxi, the meter goes up to like MYR 17. but per km is cheap.

actually we went to 4/5 halal resto in taipei. but i cant remember the name as it is in mandarin. but i will try to get the names from a friend who is living in taipei right now.

btw, u can always use the general rule. just visit the grand mosque of taipei and ask from the people at the mosque. Actually, near to the mosque, there are at least 2 halal resto. One is indonesian, and another is local moslem resto.
