will try to find time to write something on our journey.
ok, this is one pending writing that i have not finish for months. i’ve been involved in 4 months contract work that requires ridiculously high concentration as i had to learn 2 new programming languages + delivering another project late last year.
mount rinjani, lombok, indonesia
we went to rinjani in late june. My entourage consisted of 8 extraordinaire comrades from KL and Kuantan. Me, arey, emran mt, abah, pahat, doc jamal, doc ali and not to forget mr nizam. Supposedly mr jasni from muor should have joined us in this photo adventure travel but he withdrew at the eleventh hour due to some immediate ‘job’ offer he managed to clinched just before the journey.
so basically, in short, the travel itenaries were like these:
- gathered @ klia. tuesday
- flown to bali via airasia
- took fokker to lombok
- arey’s friend waited at selaparang airport and we hopped in a van to go to senaru
- overnight @ senaru village
- the next day, we climbed to post IV and camped there. wednesday
- woke up at 3 and ascended some 2-300 meters to reach the crater of rinjani.
- descended at 8/9. lunch @ 11 am/12 noon. 12.30 descended and reached senaru village like 5 pm. thursday
- the friend took us back to mataram. overnight at mataram.
- the next day, went to kuta beach, and senggigi. had a beautiful sunset there. aha…i remembered that this day was friday because this is the first time that i had jumaat prayer in indonesia.
- overnight on the ferry to bali…smashing sunrise on the ferry @ ship. saturday
- trimen and forend picked us up at padang bay. we did not manage to get a hotel at kuta. i’m not sure where it was…trying to cope with my not so stellar memory management…heheh
