exchange rate sucks
Sunday, April 20th, 2008 | Author: remi

i am a victim of exchange rates. i just checked my credit card bills and it stated that the total flight cost for proyek agustus will be RM 343.85 per person.

this yields a difference of 343.85 – 335.49 = 8.36 per person

aduh, bapak arey, bapak ali, bapak jamal, bapak jasni, bisa ga di claim semula rm 8. heheheheh…bisa lah…bisa lahhhhh

its been a while
Saturday, April 19th, 2008 | Author: remi

yeah, its been a while since i really write on this blog. anyway, i have succesfully booked 6 7 tix for proyek agustus. might be adding 2-3 more seats but it depends on the person itself, “mao ikut ngak”, huhuhu.

ok, so far 6 persons 7 persons have confirmed i.e. mas rem, mas arey, mas ali, mas jamal, mas jasni and mas waje and mas todd. there are rooms for 2 more participants. nizam has indicated some interest and arey’s friend too. i think 8 person would be nice.

NO TICKETS NO RIDE….no woman no fight…hahahaha

bromo series from traveljournals.net

i just cant wait. we have another 2/3 months for preparation. i pray to god, hoping that all my projects will be finished by july. i think, i will start jogging next week. maybe in may, i will join waje to find a good backpack for our incoming trip.

anyway, i still in the dilemma of purchasing 2 important items i.e. gps unit and a travel lense.

this gps unit is exacly like arey's and dr j's

i?am eyeing a gps unit from Garmin. the 60csx. but at the same time, i would also opt for something lighter, a gps tracker or logger. i heard 60csx can perform some logging too but it is limited to some few thousand points per file and it is cumbersome to?merge all those files together later.

a data logger from holux, its quite cheap in amazon

anyway, i ve been playing with google maps for sometime. and i am quite impressed with what google map is capable of. That is why, i ve been thinking of buying a gps data logger. in my imagination, while trekking, i would turn on the logger unit and when i reached home, i will upload the data (in KML) into my google map aplication. Then, the trail that i ve been too would be drawn on the map and can be shared with other ecotravelogue’s visitor.

panoramio - cool eh

another interesting application would be something like panoramio. but in order to make life’s much easier, i need a gps unit that is hooked to my dslr. By doing this, i would be able to geo-tagged all the photos taken. Later…i would upload all the images into ecotravelogue, and the photos will be visible within the range visible in google maps. This will help visitors to experience the trail that i have been to via actual pictures.

emm…gee, i wish i have all the money in this world to buy all those items right now. hehehe. till then, hope u will have a nice weekend.
